This is a presentation on the trial of the last Queen of France, Marie Antoinette, by Prof. Gerard Carney. It was presented in the same courtroom in which Marie Antoinette was tried, at the Palais de Justice. It was presented as part of the CLE Paris 2017 Global Law Conference on 5 January 2017.

This is a special viewing of two rare documents at the French National Archives at CLE Paris 2018. The first is an original journal from the French National Convention trying King Louis XVI. It contains the names of the convening members and their vote on the King’s fate. At the top of the list was Robespierre. The second is the first French Constitution. You will also see in this video the fascinating safe in which French money, and later the documents of the new Republic, were stored.

This is a presentation by Prof. Gerard Carney at the French National Archives on the French exploration of Australia including the viewing of rare original maps of the Australian coast prepared by the French explorers Louis Aleno de St Aloüarn and Nicolas Baudin.
